Man that is really nice!  I would like to know the measurements of the back plate as I would like to try this one if you dont mind.  Did you split the back open as well?

I like it.  [thumb]

Rule #10;  "I can make that" translates to; "I'm to cheap to buy it new."

Thanks
It has been a while since I made that one but the backing plate is about 1/16 thick and the width of the cross is 4 inches wide and about 1 inch longer than the fredericks cross.
The backing plate is not cut out in the center .
What you are seeing is a brass brushed X behind the cross ( done at a low heat )
The backing plate was wire brushed / then brass brushed and then painted with clear lacquer.
The fredericks cross was just wire brushed and then painted with clear lacquer and the riveted to the backing plate.
Hope you can sell a lot of them.

I really like it, well, I like all your work. I made a smaller one but worked it too cold and cracked it. Still looked OK for the first time. Did you saw cut the bar or use a hot cut?
