About Victor Plitt; I'm 54 years old and married for 22 years. "I can't" is not part of my lexicon. Experience: My interest in blacksmithing began in high school were I forged my first wrecking bar. I have built or fabricated most of my life and I am an intermediate blacksmith by my own judgment. The Williams Grove blacksmith shop allows me to demonstrate to the public and I have also performed at private parties.
Why I blacksmith. I think it's important for individuals to have outlets such as blacksmithing. It provides benefits that allow self realized success in independence, freedom and liberty. It provides a sense of purpose and security. It promotes innovation and industry. Participating in the blacksmith craft stimulates, inspires and encourages critical thinking and learning. It helps develop self. My accomplishments: Created TheIronForgeFire.com forum where I share my journey in blacksmithing with others. Writing the experiences including my mistakes for others to understand helps improve everyone’s quality of work. In return others have done the same to my benefit. Several experienced members on the forum are the reason it succeeds. Credit is due to them. Recently, I have organized a group at the Williams Grove Steam Engine Association.
