Hello everybody.  I have a request.

First the short version:  I need pictures of blacksmithing tools such as various hardy tools.  Can you share some pictures with me for use on my website?  No copyrighted pictures please.

Long version:  I am building a primitive technology website for those that just wanting to learn old school skills or for preparation for life after some sort of apocalyptic event.

One of the skills that would make life easier is blacksmithing.  So I am learning about blacksmithing right now.  I am in need of pictures of various blacksmith tools for my website.  I am unable to locate many of the tool pictures that are in the public domain.

So, if you have some pictures that you would be kind enough to donate for use on my website I would appreciate it.  Or if you have uploaded pictures here that I could use that would also be great.

My email is omegaman66@cox.net

Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard.  There are tons of pictures of tooling here, I doubt anybody would mind you using them.  Like all tools they are usually job specific.  So in the spirit of improvised tooling here's a anvil I made from a piece of RR track. 006.JPG

Rule #10;  "I can make that" translates to; "I'm to cheap to buy it new."

I have some pics I can send you. Anything particular you want?

I'll email them this weekend.

Also are you interested in a feed from the forum here and or link exchange for your website?

Thanks!  I have a few pics already.  I have 4 hardy tool pics.  A Swage Block pic, anvil pic, tong pic, but no vice pics.  And heck even if I have a pic already another pic might be better than what I already have.

So basically everything you are willing to send I could either use maybe upgrade what I do have.

I do not have a link exchange page on my website and I do not think I will be adding one.  However, I could easily add a link to this forum on one of the pages of my site, no problem.

Just a quick note to the members of theironforgefire here. Omega Man 66 has created a really good Survivalist website. I'm going to post a link on the main page at the bottom of where I've linked other web sites I thought we're worthy that the members may enjoy. Good information on living off the grid survival tactics, ship hits the fan scenarios and prepping and outdoor skills.
