I just got this the other day. It weighed out at 107.4lbs
 
The only marking on the anvil is the "50" on the side. Any idea who makes it or where it might be from?

Nice anvil. It looks like someone added a top plate or do you know if it was manufactured that way? I'm not able to identify your anvil. You could find a copy of Anvils in America [Richard A. Postman] at a local library to see if you can find something similar that he wrote about. I know there were many generic anvils produced and he writes about them as well.

If you just getting started that will work just fine. The more you do this craft the more tools will start finding their way to you.
