Does anyone have and holding plates for a post vise they are will to sell and ship. I am just getting started and bought a post vise but it needs the mounting plate and wedges it has the U connector and spring other than mounting it is in good working order.

Not sure where you might find that, but Batson's Blade symposium is April 5th in Birmingham Alabama.  There's tailgating going on.  Last year a guy had a trailer full of old post vices he was parting out for the wrought they were made of.

It can be a bit of a ride, well worth attending if you want to make knives.  Kevin Cashen is demoing making a sword from start to finish.  I have a bad habit of wondering around and talking thus missing much of demo's.  I need to focus on this one.  lol.
