So I watched a youtube vid on a fire poker during lunch last week. I have some 3/4 square stock and liked how it looked so Away I went on the anvil. Should have it finished on Monday. I'll post some pics of the finished project then. Meanwhile thought You might want to see a makeshift turning fork as well as the wrench I started.

Here's the twist for a handle on the fire poker. All that's is left to do is draw the point down. Below you'll see the turning wrench I made for an old monkey wrench and a plow pin. I flattened the round pin to help keep it from bending under pressure leaving the round part for your grip area.

Clean twist.  Those wrenches are a big help.

Rule #10;  "I can make that" translates to; "I'm to cheap to buy it new."

I started to draw the point out the other day and it was taken forever. Then today I realized I should be doing over the horn and not the face of the anvil. Duh.

Thanks, I picked up 3 wrenchs at the antique store for 5 dollars. A pin from a tractor blade for the other handle. I think it's 10 inch wrench. Standard Ford tool set wrench for your new car back when. Before picture at this post.
