Here's this weekends fun.  I've had walking pneumonia for the past few weeks and it's really slowed me down.  Finally getting over the crud.
From right to left;  The first is a cable handled integral Bowie forged from about 18" of 7/8" cable.  The blade is 9 1/4" long (14 1/4").
The second blade was forged from 1095 with bronze guard and pommel.  It has a stag handle with a redwood spacer.
The horseshoe heart has a cross made from a single cable bundle.

I would like to make a couple of the hearts for my daughter-in-law. She has a couple horses and loves all things horse.

I didn't notice that was from April, I need to go back through the site and catch up on the older posts.

I may go to Choo Choo Forge and make a couple hearts, for some reason we have about a thousand horse shoes. And, since it's a railroad shop there's 55 gallon drums full of spikes.

Good to meet you on Saturday. I should have gotten there earlier and got some pictures. I didn't even walk back to the furnace this time but I've seen it a few times.

It was good to meet you too.  I hope you and your friend didn't get too much sun, it was hot.  I'm sorry about giving up on you, should have gotten your # and gave you a call.
